It’s time for some real talk. Building on our customers feedback, I think that it’s important to keep it real and talk about the ugly side of alternative hair for a minute.
I know that most of the time, we talk about how great alternative hair is, but I think we have a responsibility to tell the other side of the story too. Right now, we are in a place where I do think that human hair is amazing, but it was a really long and bumpy road getting there.
First, I would like to know if you remember when you first made the decision to wear hair, you put your gorgeous topper in your shopping cart, clicked “submit payment”, what is your feeling ? Instantly flooded with relief? I believe your solution was right and waited the days patiently until it arrived. I know it’s such an exciting thing to get package and open it.
It was absolutely crushed when you found it wouldn’t lay flat, you couldn’t blend it with your bio hair OR wear it all the way forward, and it looked freaking ridiculous on you.
And that’s the whole thing that our customers sometimes faced, until that you’ve found your brands and colors, and know what your like. You would forget that the beginning is so hard.
You can see all of these beautiful women online rocking their amazing faux hair and living their best lives, and it just looks so ATTRACTIVE and easier than it really is. And we always promote those great videos to help people.
If you’re a newbie, we really need you to know that your fight isn’t over just yet. I don’t want you to be so disappointed if your first topper arrives, and you realize that it’s not going to work. I know you’ll be so disappointed because you thought your solution was right at your fingertips, but you’re still at square one and have to try again.
From our VIP customers, they have above 5 toppers from us, before she got it “right”…and even then, they realized down the road that their 2nd or 3rd topper wasn’t right for me either. Even when a topper looks amazing on someone else, it doesn’t mean it will work out for you. And even after you’ve been wearing hair for years, you will STILL have fails. You’ll try new toppers and colors, and you’ll pay a lot of return shipping and restocking fees, and it’s going to suck. But everything in life is a trade off. You just HAVE to keep your chin up and keep pushing forward .
